1. Driver’s Age
Minimum Driver’s age is 21 years. A young driver surcharge will apply for drivers under 25 years. If the driver is younger than 25 years or has driving experience of less than 2 years (novice driver) and has caused an accident, an additional BHD 200 +VAT is charged.

2. Driver’s License
The renter/driver must be in a possession of a valid driving license held for at least 2 years. Also, a valid ID card or passport would be required at the time of pick up. All GCC citizens/residents are permitted to drive on their respective country’s national licenses. International customers also must be in possession of an international driving license. An International Driver’s License (IDL) must be required if the renter’s national driving license is not in Roman alphabet (For E.g., if the license is in Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driving license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. If the renter’s driving license has multiple parts, then the renter must present all of them. The renter must have held the driving license for a minimum of 2 full year(s).

3. Mileage Policy
Unlimited mileage for daily and weekly rentals. 3,000 kilometers on monthly rentals. Every additional kilometer will be charged at BD0.100(fils) +VAT, per kilometer.

4. Fuel Policy
The renter is responsible for the cost of fuel during the rental duration and must return the rented vehicle with same fuel level as received or pay equivalent amount for fuel along with a tanking fee. Renters may purchase a whole tank of fuel at the time of the reservation for an additional charge and return the tank empty. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.

5. Documents Required

• Passport
• Identification card of renter’s country of residence
• Renters must present a credit card under their name when picking up the rental vehicle and a security deposit will be charged from the same
• It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that they have all the necessary documentation and that their driving license is valid and for the intended type of rental vehicle. Failure to do so will result in the rental being refused and/or considered a no-show.

6. Taxes, Currency, Payment Method
The currency charged locally will be in Bahraini Dinar (BHD). VAT is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment or extra services, VAT would be levied separately. Local taxes and fees are controlled by local authorities and are subject to change. All major international Credit Cards – such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted and must be on the main renter’s name while paying at the rental desk. All prepaid cards or debit cards are not accepted.

7. Insurance Excess and Coverage

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Collision damage waiver reduces the renter’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.
In the event of an accident, upon submission of the police report the excess amount for CDW for all vehicle groups is BHD 100 +VAT. The excess amount for CDW for all vehicle groups will be BHD 300 +VAT for young and novice drivers.

Theft Protection (TP)

Theft waiver – reduces the renter’s financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible. The excess amount for TP ranges from BHD 100 to a maximum BHD 300 +VAT.

Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL)

Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a maximum cover of BHD 100,000 for personal injuries and material damages.

8. Deposit
An advance charge approval (pre-authorization) is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle, driver’s age, and experience. The minimum amount is 100 BHD. An additional deposit of BHD 200 is collected for young drivers. A valid credit card with enough funds is required for security deposit upon collection of the vehicle. Any penalty/fines for traffic violations will be charged from the security deposit. The duration of traffic penalty claims will be up to 12 months from the date of rental. Cash Deposits are not accepted.

9. Vehicle Model
Reservations are made by vehicle groups, which cover a variety of car models. Due to the nature of our business, we cannot guarantee a specific model. TCL reserves the right to offer a higher vehicle category if the reserved category is no longer available or to decline the reservation without liability.

10. Delivery and Collection
Deliveries and collections are available at the local rental station subject to a fee.

11. Extras
All extras and services are all available on request and subject to availability at the time of pick-up.

12. One-Way Rentals
One-Way rentals are allowed upon prior intimation to the pick-up location. Contact the local branch for more information.

13. Cross Border Travel
Vehicles are exclusively authorized for use within the geographical land borders of The Kingdom Of Bahrain.

14. Modification/Cancellation/Refund
Pay On Arrival: Modification and Cancellation are free of charge and can be requested through “My Bookings” section on our website & is subject to availability.
Pre-Paid: Modifications of Pre-Paid reservations is not allowed, however you may create a new reservation or request extension at the time of vehicle collection. Extensions may be approved or denied by the rental station depending on availability. All cancellations made 48 hours prior to the pickup time  are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to a minimum of 3 days rental charge including extras. There will be no refunds made for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the pickup date. Cancellations can be requested through “My Bookings” section on our website & the refunds where applicable will be made within 30 days from the date of request.

15. Personal Information
In order to provide you with our products and services, we may collect information from you, directly and indirectly, when you communicate with us, interact with us in person, or interact with us online via our website, social media, or apps. In addition to the above, information may also be collected from travel websites with which we collaborate, information obtained from our parent and affiliate companies, or information you provide when you participate in events or promotions. The services requested may not be available if you do not provide certain information requested, and it may limit our ability to provide you with the level of service you would otherwise expect from TCL. When renting a vehicle, being added as an additional driver to a rental or using TCL for a service, we may collect personal information and identity verification, transaction information, car data, location information, security cameras.
