What is the age requirement to rent from TCL?
It is required that drivers be at least 21 years of age. Drivers under the age of 25 or with fewer than two years of driving experience will be charged a young driver surcharge.
What documents are required in order to receive the car?
At time of pick up, you will need a valid driver’s license held for at least two years. You will also need a valid ID card or passport. GCC residents/citizens have the right to drive on the national license of their respective country. Depending on your national driving license, an International Drivers License (IDL) may be required (for example, if it is written in Arabic, Greek, Russian, or Chinese). Driver’s original domestic license must be accompanied by the international license. If the renter’s driving license has multiple parts, then all of them must be presented.
Would I be required to provide a deposit?
Yes, the amount of the deposit is determined at collection, since it depends on the vehicle, the driver’s age, and the experience of the driver. An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment. A minimum deposit of 100 BHD is required. In addition, young drivers must pay an additional 200 BHD. A credit card with sufficient funds is required for security deposit at time of collection. Traffic violations will result in fines or penalties being charged to the security deposit. The duration of traffic penalty claims is up to 12 months from the date of rental.

How long will it take for my pre-auth/deposit to be returned after my rental ends?
For funds to clear and become available in your account, please allow up to 10-21 business days.
Is it possible to reserve a vehicle and pay even if I won’t be the one driving it?
Unless you will be at the collection point, the main driver must be the person who pays the booking deposit. This will be stated on the rental contract.

Is it possible to pay for a reservation with corporate credit card?
To use a company card, the name on the card must match the name on the reservation and rental agreement. For more information, please contact us.
Can I smoke inside my rented vehicle?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all TCL vehicles (pipes, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes), which is why our fleet is 100% smoke-free. In the event that the vehicle smells of smoke or is found with tobacco ashes after return, a BHD 50/- interior cleaning fee will be charged to the renter.
Do you allow pets in your car?
TCL vehicles are strictly non-pet friendly. A fee of BHD 30/- to 50/- will be charged if there are any hairs, saliva, or traces of pet usage.
Can the rental price be changed after my reservation has been confirmed?
The rental charge on the reservation will remain unchanged unless otherwise modified by the rental duration or optional extras added to the contract at the time of pickup. Additionally, you might be charged an extra fee if you return the vehicle after the reservation time.
What does “Pay On Arrival” reservations mean?
“Pay on arrival” reservations do not require online payment until vehicle pick up and can be canceled or amended at any time. However, they are more expensive than pre-paid reservations because they offer more flexibility.
What does “Pre-Paid” reservations mean?
When you book a “Pre-Paid” reservation, you pay for your rental upfront. It is more affordable when you compare it to “Pay On Arrival” reservations. However, there might be charges for cancellations and modifications.
What does “On Request” reservation mean?
It is usually possible to book a vehicle category that is in high demand upon submitting a reservation request. All such reservations will be accepted or rejected within 48 hours after receiving the reservation request.
What if I damage the vehicle during my rental?
In the unfortunate event of an accident, the renter shall report the same to nearest police station (major accidents) or raise a report on the “e-traffic” application (mutually agreed minor accidents) immediately and TCL within 2 hours and submit the accident report in order to receive assistance from our team. In the event of any other damage, the renter will be responsible for paying as per dealer’s estimates while returning the vehicle.
How are parking tickets and traffic violations handled?
All traffic violations and/or parking tickets incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter. All traffic violation must be paid within 48 hours from being reported by our rental agents via email and/or phone. Renter can clear the offences online through the government portal. Each fine settled through TCL will be subject to an admin fee of BHD 5/- or 10% (whichever is higher), plus VAT.
What is the reason I received information regarding my traffic violations after my vehicle had been returned or delayed as opposed to the day they were issued?
In order to obtain information concerning violations, we have to rely on the traffic authorities. Therefore, we will only be able to notify you as soon as it is received.
How do I modify/cancel my reservation?
Modification or Cancellations are handled differently for “Pay On Arrival” and “Pre-Paid” reservations.
Pay On Arrival: Modification and Cancellation are free of charge and can be requested through “My Bookings” section on our website & is subject to availability.
Pre-Paid: Modifications of Pre-Paid reservations is not allowed, however you may create a new reservation or request extension at the time of vehicle collection. Extensions may be approved or denied by the rental station depending on availability. All cancellations made 48 hours prior to the pickup time are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to a minimum of 3 days rental charge including extras. There will be no refunds made for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the pickup date. Cancellations can be requested through “My Bookings” section on our website & the refunds where applicable will be made within 30 days from the date of request.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my reservation?
Cancellations are handled differently for “Pay On Arrival” and “Pre-Paid” reservations.
Pay On Arrival: Cancellation are not subject to refund as no advance payment was collected during the reservation.
Pre-Paid: All cancellations made 48 hours prior to the pickup time are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to a minimum of 3 days rental charge including extras. There will be no refunds made for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the pickup date. Cancellations can be requested through “My Bookings” section on our website & the refunds where applicable will be made within 30 days from the date of request.
What happens in-case of no-show?
In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.
How many kilometers can I drive?
Unlimited mileage for daily and weekly rentals. 3,000 kilometers on monthly rentals. Excess mileage charges.
Can I drive my rented vehicle outside the Kingdom Of Bahrain?
No, vehicles are exclusively authorized for use within the geographical land borders of The Kingdom Of Bahrain.
